Job Requirements

  • Experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools
  • experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
  • basic computer experience and competency
  • ability to walk constantly throughout workday
  • stand 6-8 hours per day
  • climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day
  • climb ladders
  • bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day
  • squat and kneel
  • able to perform work at heights up to 50 feet above ground level with appropriate safety gear
  • must be a US Person as defined by export control regulations
  • must work 100% onsite in Everett or Renton, Washington

Job Qualifications

  • Experience using hand tools and hand-held power tools
  • experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
  • basic computer experience and competency
  • ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics, and diagrams
  • attended a Boeing partnered manufacturing-related high school or preferred community/technology college academic program
  • high school graduate or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform pickup, rework, authorized changes, and functional checks on work
  • use a tension meter to set cable tension according to specifications
  • conduct reaming and riveting as necessary
  • report job handicaps such as errors in parts or assembly
  • select appropriate parts, materials, and tools and work with blueprints and work orders
  • review bar charts or automated timelines for job assignments
  • locate work areas using drawings or paperwork
  • verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials
  • obtain parts from Parts Control Area if not pre-picked
  • drill, ream, and countersink holes per specifications
  • disassemble parts and deburr holes for fasteners
  • use solvents to clean surfaces and apply sealants, primers, adhesives, and special finishes
  • install cable control pulleys and rig control cables
  • check and adjust actuator motors for flight control systems
  • clean work area and ensure removal of foreign object debris
  • submit completed jobs or in-process checks to inspectors as required
