Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- 1 to 2 years of previous assembly experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineer blueprints and assembly instructions
- Ability to perform in-process inspections and testing
- Ability to communicate in English
- Capability to troubleshoot, identify and report problems
- Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Willingness to cross-train
- Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing preferred
- Ability to maintain productivity standards
- Conformity to company policies and code of conduct
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Previous assembly experience with small or complex assemblies preferred
- Ability to perform in-process inspections and testing preferred
- Ability to read and communicate oral and written instructions in English
- Ability to carry out detailed instructions and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Basic arithmetic and counting skills
Job Duties
- Read and interpret basic engineer blueprints and assembly instructions to assemble medical device products
- Join mechanical and hydraulic components and perform basic electrical wiring
- Manage and assemble components or sub-assemblies using hand tools such as tape measure, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, level, and torque wrenches
- Work safely while standing or walking for 70 to 100 percent of the workday
- Inspect and perform finished product testing to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards
- Accurately record in-process and finished product test results on Device History Record
- Identify and report defects or problems encountered during assembly
- Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members
- Cross-train within the home department
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Bend, stoop, and squat periodically to perform tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Apply basic lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kanban, visual management, and problem solving
- Adhere to established safety procedures and guidelines
- Maintain productivity standards
- Perform other duties as needed
