Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
- Successful completion of background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and price guns
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Create an environment that makes customers feel welcomed, important, and appreciated
- Ensure daily conditions meet company standards for product availability, freshness, quality, and value
- Provide product samples, answer questions, and assist customers with finding or suggesting bakery products
- Fulfill customer requests and special orders
- Promote teamwork and communication among associates while adhering to laws and company policies
- Maintain inventory knowledge, inspect product freshness and quality, prepare, package, label, and display bakery items
- Use production planning tools to produce fresh products accurately
- Ensure proper food safety practices including temperature control and documentation
- Enforce safety standards, food handling, sanitation, and productivity compliance
- Perform product recalls and removals promptly
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and compliance issues
- Cultivate a culture of safety and ensure associates receive necessary safety training and use protective equipment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
