Job Duties
- Maintain a positive and optimistic personality with a desire to provide excellent customer service and cleanliness
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance and behavior, wearing approved uniform and name tag as required
- Maintain strict confidentiality to provide guests with the highest level of trust in housekeeping staff
- Demonstrate a professional sense of urgency while working in rooms and public spaces to promptly deliver thoughtful guest experiences and consistently meet budgeted minutes per room
- Clean and stock all assigned rooms including changing linens, replenishing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, storing supplies, emptying trash, removing used linens and room service items, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, tubs, and sinks
- Keep the Housekeeping Supervisor informed about the room status in a timely manner
- Greet guests encountered throughout the property
- Strictly comply with all federal, state, local, and brand health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Complete full training in all safety, alcohol, and health and safety areas
- Ensure all OSHA, state, and federal guidelines on chemicals, fire, health, and safety are followed
- Handle chemical products safely according to manufacturer instructions
- Keep workspace, storage rooms, and cleaning carts clean, well-organized, and stocked
- Work in an organized manner following step-by-step cleaning process
- Observe the condition of furniture, walls, moldings, carpets, and appliances, reporting deficiencies according to hotel policies
- Maintain open communication lines within the housekeeping department and participate in daily meetings and staff gatherings
- Adhere to key control guidelines
- Assist with annual, quarterly, spring, and fall cleaning tasks as assigned
- Deliver lost and found items following company procedure
- Assist in training new staff
- Support a positive and pleasant work environment
- Have knowledge of hotel products and services such as food and beverage and recreation
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
