Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled
- Ability to safely operate basic kitchen cooking equipment
- Ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment
- Ability to identify all products used in kitchen operation
- Ability to apply proper time/temperature controls
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with physical demands including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all regulatory requirements
- Ability to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three months related experience and/or training in Asian culinary methods
- Prior Asian Wok or Asian culinary experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and production logs
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment at advanced level
- Strong problem-solving and common sense understanding
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute recipes
- Ability to interact diplomatically with guests and colleagues
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Job Duties
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of and ability to execute Asian cooking styles and techniques including wok station and stir-fry
- Ensures that Asian product taste and presentation exceed customer expectations and Food & Beverage standards
- Assists with sushi station as needed
- Prepares a la carte and buffet food items
- Adheres to cleanliness and sanitation standards as per ServSafe
- Accurately cools, reheats and monitors food temperatures
- Conducts proper FIFO procedures and labels food products
- Cleans workstation and equipment prior to end of shift
- Serves as an ambassador for Food and Beverage outlets and maintains superior customer service
- Reports issues and guest complaints to management
- Ensures regulatory compliance and maintains confidentiality
