Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year previous related work experience preferred
  • must possess a food sanitation certificate
  • must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
  • reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • work authorization required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous related work experience in a fast-casual restaurant setting preferred
  • food sanitation certificate
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • friendly and outgoing disposition

Job Duties

  • Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu
  • offer cocktails
  • explain the chef's specialties
  • answer food preparation questions
  • stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
  • ring in all items as a cashier and collect appropriate payment from patron
  • transmit orders to the kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
  • serve orders by picking up and delivering items from the kitchen
  • deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars
  • respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs, observing dining process
  • maintain table setting by removing courses as completed
  • replenishing utensils
  • refilling water glasses
  • being alert to patron spills or other special needs
  • adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant
  • inviting patrons to return
  • perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • adhere to company’s grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
