Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand 12 hours and lift 30-50 pounds frequently

  • Must be willing to assist with routine equipment maintenance
  • Must work 12-hour shifts including overtime
  • Must possess accurate and detailed record keeping and legible handwriting

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Entry level with willingness to train
  • Basic math skills including weight calculations, averages, and percentages
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF programs
  • Understanding of allergen procedures and prevention of cross contamination
  • Accurate record keeping and legible handwriting
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as scheduled
  • Good attendance record
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Coordinate, set-up, clean-in-place (CIP), swab test, monitor, and run mixing area following batch records for non-dairy products
  • Assist with routine maintenance on mixing equipment including valves, o-rings, homogenizer packings and gaskets
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational difficulties involving mixing area equipment
  • Start-up and shut down all equipment in the mixing area
  • Identify critical control points and understand their function in the mixing area
  • Prepare and complete all required paperwork accurately with legible handwriting
  • Monitor operational efficiencies, yields, and scrap loss to improve productivity
  • Communicate delays or problems to warehouse, operators, and supervisors
  • Perform quality checks and take samples for quality assurance
  • Direct the transfer of batched product to storage vessels
  • Relieve other production team members during breaks and absences
