Job Requirements
- Must be able to work a 40-hour flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Students enrolled in a Parks and Recreation related curriculum as a full-time student at a college, university, or vocational technical school
- Aquatics and/or lifeguarding certification preferred for the aquatics internship
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others
Job Duties
- Supervise, develop, implement, and evaluate a wide variety of Parks and Recreation activities, events, facilities, and projects
- Assist with scheduling, training, and providing direction for part-time, temporary, and volunteer staff
- Assist with reservation scheduling and supervision of facilities
- Complete reports, evaluations, and documentation for participant and employee feedback
- Support Summer Playground Program, Concerts in the Park, Adult Athletic Leagues, Aquatic Facility Operations/Programming, and various youth, adult, senior, and special event programs
