Job Requirements
- Current unrestricted Wisconsin Nursing License
- ACLS certification current or within three months of hire
- BLS certification current or within three months of hire
- Minimum two years nursing management experience
- Experience in an operating room or surgical center environment
- Knowledge of Medicare certification processes
- Ability to develop clinical protocols and policies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Job Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum two years nursing management experience preferably in an operating room setting
- Experience with Medicare certification through AAAHC or The Joint Commission
- Experience implementing electronic health records in an ASC setting
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to read and interpret business and regulatory materials
- Ability to write reports and procedure manuals
- Effective presentation and communication skills with diverse groups
Job Duties
- Manage and operate the Ambulatory Surgical Center effectively
- Develop clinical procedures ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality
- Implement admission and discharge procedures and verify pre-admission criteria
- Research and apply cost reduction strategies
- Evaluate patient care and report significant issues to Administrator and Medical Director
- Collaborate on personnel policies and communication to staff
- Lead staff selection, hiring, coaching, development, and performance evaluation
- Ensure compliance with ASC policies, infection prevention, medication safety, and regulatory requirements
- Establish effective working relationships with vendors, staff, managers, and physicians
- Develop patient and staff educational materials
- Monitor patient service feedback and resolve complaints
- Support and promote positive organizational image
