Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 5 years airline industry experience
  • 5 or more years managing teams with financial accountability
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements

Job Duties

  • Conduct monthly safety meetings for all employees
  • manage all operational activities and multiple carrier contracts
  • conduct flight, station, and at-risk behavior audits
  • participate in monthly company safety conference calls
  • communicate and instill safety awareness in all employees including new hires
  • coordinate with customers on manpower requirements and schedule changes
  • oversee recruiting and staffing efforts
  • ensure compliance with FAA, OSHA, EPA, US Dept. of Labor, and EEOC regulations
  • investigate incidents of aircraft damage or employee injury and implement corrective actions
  • conduct employee coaching and counseling
  • manage disciplinary actions and documentation
  • coordinate purchasing and ensure adequate operational supplies
  • review payroll and daily hours to maintain budget compliance
  • monitor operational irregularities and document out-of-scope work
  • conduct weekly lead/supervisor meetings and daily equipment briefings
  • ensure compliance with uniform and appearance guidelines
  • inspect facility daily
  • review operational reports for dissemination
  • investigate service failures including delays and mishandling
  • administer operational plans such as deicing and FOD
  • complete personnel evaluations
  • liaise with customer service and airport personnel
  • respond to customer concerns
  • attend airport tenant, security, and safety meetings
  • perform routine visits to authorities
  • other duties as assigned
