Job Description

The South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC) is a state agency dedicated to expanding access to the arts and fostering creativity throughout South Carolina. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years in arts administration or community engagement
  • Valid South Carolina driver's license
  • Ability to attend evening, weekend, and overnight events
  • Punctuality and adherence to work schedule
  • Ability to lift light items
  • Successful completion of background and reference checks

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training
  • Minimum three years experience in arts administration or community engagement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites
  • Experience with event coordination and office management
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to engage diverse socio-cultural communities
  • Experience with grant programs and resource management

Job Duties

  • Coordinate Arts Hub Region offices and schedules
  • Manage event logistics including facility access, setup, and breakdown
  • Serve as the first point of contact for constituent services in assigned regions
  • Maintain inventory and procurement for regional offices
  • Administer grant portfolios and assist with grant research and reporting
  • Build and maintain relationships with artists, organizations, and community partners
  • Collaborate with communications team to update regional arts information
