Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
one year of baking experience preferred
current food handler's permit
ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
good communication skills
ability to follow recipes and baking procedures
physical ability to lift 50 pounds
ability to stand and move around for entire shift

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
one year of baking experience preferred
current food handler's permit
enjoys working with and handling artisan breads and dough
enjoys cooking and eating a variety of artisan bread products
ability to read and follow a recipe
basic math skills used to half or double recipes
knowledge of baking procedures and times
ability to interpret policies and procedures
excellent organization and planning skills
solid communication skills including verbal and listening skills
ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for personal and team success
ability to make logical significant decisions using general recognized skills and techniques
integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, self-directed with passion for Harmons' mission
constantly product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward-focused, and consistent

Job Duties

Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the bakery provides
responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the artisan bread counter
confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all artisan bread products, paying particular attention to ad items
ensures the bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
delivers excellent customer service to all customers
follows precise recipes and techniques for the mixing, shaping, scoring, and baking of Harmons' artisan breads
assists as needed to ensure the success of the bakery as a whole
