Job Requirements

  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
  • regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet each guest of the Art Studio
  • represent the Art Studio with an engaging presence
  • facilitate scheduling of classes and communicate with artists
  • possess a well-rounded view of how the Art Studio operates
  • answer telephone in a professional manner, following Sundance protocol
  • enter purchases in point-of-sale system, secure accurate payment with appropriate signatures and package guest purchases
  • run and close register
  • exhibit computer proficiency and accuracy by entering correct and appropriate information
  • wrap, package and ship various artwork (glass and pottery) as needed
  • keep shipping records
  • reduce packaging and use recycled packing materials when practical
  • tell Sundance's story of land preservation (Sundance Preserve) and environmental commitment to guests when the opportunity arises
  • maintain a neat and organized gallery and studio
  • assist in monthly inventory
  • exhibit knowledge of Art Studio services and products
  • communicate with clients and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner
