Job Requirements
- Serve Safe certified
- Eligible for licensing by the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations
- Ability to pass a background check by the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations
- Valid Rhode Island Pistol Permit
- Ability to constantly stand, walk, climb, carry, bend, hear, and stoop
- Maintain manual dexterity and follow detailed instructions
- Use eye/hand coordination frequently
- Adapt to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, dry, dirty, smoky, and dusty conditions
- Able to work rotating shifts
- Willing to work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels
Job Qualifications
- Current or former law enforcement officer with minimum two years of experience
- Graduate of a law enforcement academy approved by the Director
- Current or former correctional officer with at least two years on-the-job experience and academy graduation
- U.S. Department of Homeland Security personnel with appropriate training and two years experience
- Active or former military personnel with honorable discharge and minimum three years service
- Armed or unarmed security guards with three years experience and approved training
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Rhode Island state law related to casino security
Job Duties
- First responders to incidents including accidents, emergencies, and medical aids
- Guard and escort monies and safeguard nightly drops from VLT machines
- Strategically posted at visible locations to deter incidents and assist guests
- Possess full knowledge of all Twin River Casino facilities
- Provide guest assistance and direct guests to appropriate resources
- Check identification in compliance with Rhode Island state law
- Prepare security reports and assist in employee investigations
- Provide security at special events and employee gatherings
- Escort guests, employees, outside agencies, and transport injured or disabled persons
- Patrol parking lots, valet areas, and casino exteriors
- Respond swiftly to emergencies like fires, fights, thefts, and arrests
- Report hazardous or unsafe conditions
- Assist law enforcement agencies in official investigations
- Patrol gaming floors and bar areas for alcohol control
- Monitor facility access and issue badges according to regulatory requirements
- Detain or eject individuals violating policies as appropriate
