Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work an average of at least 45 hours per week
  • willingness to work evenings and weekends to accommodate networking events, client appointments, and group activities
  • occasional off-hour engagements required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to travel within the South Portland/Scarborough market
  • valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • adaptability and flexibility to meet business and client needs

Job Qualifications

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities
  • prior hotel or hospitality sales experience strongly preferred
  • proven ability to generate new business through in-person appointments, phone outreach, and email prospecting
  • strong research skills with the ability to identify new leads using web-based resources
  • thorough understanding of the sales cycle including prospecting, opening, qualifying, advancing, gaining commitment, and closing
  • ability to clearly communicate cluster-wide lodging solutions tailored to client needs
  • strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends

Job Duties

  • Develop new business opportunities through proactive outside sales activity
  • grow and maintain existing accounts to maximize revenue
  • strategically distribute business across three hotel properties based on customer needs, availability, and revenue strategy
  • build and sustain long-term relationships with corporate clients, extended-stay accounts, and local business partners
  • lead sales initiatives to increase cluster-wide revenue and market share
  • collaborate with hotel leadership teams to align sales objectives with operational success
  • interpret sales performance metrics and market data to inform and adjust sales strategies
