Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 8 years of sales experience in commercial Fire/Life Safety industry
- Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency in Fire Alarm/Fire Life Safety
- Ability to interpret job specifications and drawings
- Working knowledge of contracting business with tiered contractors
- Strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license with limited violations
- Eligibility for Siemens fleet vehicle program
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- 8+ years of sales experience within the commercial Fire/Life Safety industry
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in commercial Fire Alarm/Fire Life Safety industry
- Ability to interpret job specifications and drawings
- Working knowledge and understanding of contracting business with tiers of contractors
- Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred
- Management experience in the construction industry preferred
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM preferred
- NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire preferred
Job Duties
- Promote team selling and expansion of existing relationships across divisions and/or geographic areas
- Act as a resource to sales employees regarding products, applications, and services
- Support the sales process through all phases including job turnover and implementation
- Communicate goals, provide mentoring to develop skills, lead employee performance, and conduct performance appraisals
- Coach sellers to strategically assess customer needs and identify buying priorities
- Review bids to ensure accuracy to meet company and customer objectives
- Assist employees in setting margins, identifying resources, and assessing future business
- Establish executive-level relationships with targeted contractors and customers
- Network with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens divisions to gain and share knowledge
- Develop sales forecasts and provide input to sales targets
- Assist the sales team in identifying market opportunities
- Develop strategies to improve company impact
- Participate in long-range sales planning and growth strategies
- Articulate and drive digitalization strategy, remote services, and big data analytics
- Maintain trade contacts and participate in industry association functions
- Travel overnight approximately 10% for training and business development
