Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Skilled in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework in related field helpful
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Attend daily Highgate Hotel Business Review meetings
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the hotel operations
  • Develop knowledge of company sales policies and ensure team adherence
  • Meet or exceed set sales goals
  • Operate sales department within budget
  • Participate in M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage
  • Initiate and follow up on sales leads
  • Maintain active sales solicitation programs
  • Monitor production and market trends
  • Regularly contact existing accounts
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales call goals
  • Invite clients for entertainment, tours, and site inspections
  • Assist in implementing special promotions
  • Prepare required sales reports
  • Conduct professional hotel site inspections for clients
  • Utilize computerized sales management systems
  • Meet and greet onsite contacts
  • Abide by Prime Selling Time
  • Develop networking opportunities
  • Review meeting planner evaluations
  • Entertain clients
  • Handle inquiries as part of Inquiry Day Program
