Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College coursework in related field helpful
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Skilled in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Participate in Management on Duty coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with company standards and regulations
- Ability to handle problems proactively
- Maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Attend weekly Highgate Hotel Business Review meeting
- Develop working knowledge of hotel operations including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations
- Ensure knowledge of and adherence to company sales policies and SOPs by the sales team
- Meet or exceed set sales goals
- Operate the Sales Department within established expense budget
- Participate in required Management on Duty and Saturday office coverage
- Initiate and follow up on leads
- Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program
- Monitor production of top accounts and evaluate market trends
- Regularly contact existing accounts based on Account Coverage Program
- Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals
- Invite clients for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections
- Assist in implementing special promotions for direct sales segments
- Prepare required reports in a timely manner
- Be familiar with Highgate Hotel sales policies and selling techniques focusing on occupancy and ADR
- Conduct professional site inspections with clients
- Use computerized sales management system to manage business
- Meet and greet onsite contacts
- Abide by Prime Selling Time
- Develop networking opportunities through community and professional involvement
- Review meeting planner evaluations and ensure follow-up
- Entertain clients
- Handle inquiries as part of Inquiry Day Program
