Job Requirements

  • Three to five years of proven safety management experience within a fabrication/shop environment
  • Thorough knowledge of PPE, HAZCOM, confined space, and lockout/tag-out procedures
  • Understanding of electrical safety and NFPA 70E procedures
  • Familiarity with production line procedures and heavy machine equipment guarding
  • Ability to work long hours including evenings and weekends
  • Frequent out-of-state travel up to 75%
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform physical demands including lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, earplugs, respirator, long pants, and long-sleeved shirt
  • Commitment to safety as a priority

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in safety management within a fabrication/shop environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards including power tools, lockout/tag-out, confined space, electrical, fall protection, cranes, and heavy industrial
  • Ability to develop and implement sustainability programs
  • Effective communication and training skills for large employee groups
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations including ADOSH, Cal OSHA, and EPA
  • Advanced understanding of PPE, HAZCOM, confined space, and lockout/tag-out procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office Suite, BlueBeam PDF Software, and Concur
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Job Duties

  • Developing and leading a formal sustainability program
  • Creating successful internal partnerships to integrate safety values and practices across the business
  • Communicating enterprise risks associated with environmental, health, or safety failures
  • Establishing global corporate EHS standards and practices
  • Publicly reporting progress on a full spectrum of EHS and sustainability initiatives
  • Responding to stakeholder inquiries about companys EHS and sustainability performance
  • Working with the supply chain
  • Conducting global auditing
  • Ensuring safe and healthy workplaces around the world
