Job Requirements
- 230 pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate
- Rotorcraft-helicopter instrument rating
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1500 hours helicopter time
- Minimum 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- Minimum 500 hours turbine time
- Minimum 100 hours night unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
Job Qualifications
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine time
- 100 hours night unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
- Previous HEMS experience or equivalent preferred
- One year experience as a pilot with a GMR company preferred
- Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast paced environment
- Exhibits professionalism and is ethical with confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify alternative solutions and approaches to problems
Job Duties
- Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
- Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
- Conducts preflight of the aircraft utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual
- Notes discrepancies during pre-flight in the engineering log and notifies maintenance
- Reports any major malfunctions, aircraft damage, or injured personnel to Operations Center
- Ensures the aircraft remains clean and transport ready
- Submits all appropriate paperwork in a neat and timely manner
