Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • minimum two years of sales experience preferably in beverage or retail industry
  • ability to travel frequently within assigned territory
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • physical ability to handle product transfers and display setup
  • knowledge of safety standards and use of safety equipment
  • reliable and dependable work ethic
  • ability to manage time effectively

Job Qualifications

  • proven sales experience preferably in beverage or retail industry
  • strong negotiation and communication skills
  • ability to operate and maintain vehicles safely
  • experience in customer relationship management
  • proficiency in preparing sales contracts and business reports
  • ability to lead sales meetings
  • knowledge of inventory management and product rotation
  • skills in constructing and assembling display aids
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • basic computer skills for reporting

Job Duties

  • travel through assigned territory to solicit orders and new business
  • prepare sales contracts and interface with customers
  • lead contract negotiations and close sales
  • develop marketing plans for contract accounts
  • operate and maintain route vehicle
  • coordinate and lead sales meetings
  • ensure proper product rotation according to supplier requirements
  • establish good customer rapport
  • account for cash, credit proceeds, and company assets
  • solicit new business through product demonstrations and marketing resources
  • arrange product displays and place signage
  • transfer products to floor displays to comply with sell-by dates
  • order product to avoid out-of-stock situations
  • originate or follow display ideas
  • assemble display aids from POS materials
  • coordinate product delivery and pickups
  • prepare business reports and keep expense accounts
  • wear appropriate safety equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
