Job Requirements
- Must reside in the sales territory
- valid driver’s license
- clean motor vehicle record
- basic computer proficiency in MS Office
- 1-2 years experience in foodservice sales
- high school diploma or GED
- bilingual Spanish preferred
- willingness to travel within assigned territory
- strong customer service orientation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years foodservice sales related work experience
- clean motor vehicle record
- basic computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- bilingual Spanish preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to analyze sales data and develop effective sales strategies
Job Duties
- Generates additional business through analyzing sales territory and individual customers
- samples products with existing and potential customers
- plans general sales strategy including time and territory management
- plans sales approach with individual customers
- conducts effective sales presentations
- grows sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established sales and margin goals
- sets up new customer accounts by determining pricing
- works with Credit Department for initial authorization
- coordinates with other center personnel for scheduling order-taking and deliveries
- performs initial follow-up with customer ensuring delivery and product satisfaction
- ensures customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service and coordinating with center personnel to prevent and resolve customer problems
- occasionally makes deliveries in emergency situations
- builds additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize account profitability
- monitors accounts receivable to minimize problems and follows up on any issues
- maintains awareness of pricing trends within territory to ensure competitive pricing
- performs other related duties as assigned
