Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
  • Minimum 3 years functional culinary experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50 percent within Illinois
  • Strong culinary skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Be hands on cooking within the culinary outlets, training and developing skills
  • Ensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • Develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • Maintain working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
  • Oversee all campus culinary operations including residential dining, retail, and catering services
  • Engage with students to create a healthy and positive dining experience
