Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum five years experience in hotel accounting or related field
- At least one year in a supervisory position
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and property management software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Team-first mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Job Duties
- Maintain professional discretion and confidentiality
- Directly manage accounting staff including hiring, training, scheduling, supporting, disciplining, and terminating employees
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures for all hotel Accounting, Payroll, and Night Audit functions
- Control cash flow generated by Accounts Payable and Receivable including authorization payments and ensuring timely collection
- Review transmittals and journal entries for accuracy and proper authorization
- Review and update Accounting related control procedures and report any non-compliance
- Train staff on all SOPs and ensure understanding and compliance
- Review and approve documentation of Accounting procedures
- Ensure accurate and efficient completion of month-end closing procedures
- Prepare monthly Flash Reports for the Corporate Office
- Support General Manager in annual departmental budget development
- Monitor and control departmental expenditures to meet operational standards and budget
- Conduct safety training and enforce safe work practices
- Conduct regular departmental operation meetings including safety meetings
- Implement and maintain backup and emergency procedures
- Source and recommend training initiatives for hotel staff
- Collaborate with hotel operations and shared services teams
- Champion company values, vision, and culture
