Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of hospitality sales experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and DELPHI
  • Local market knowledge preferred
  • Previous Marriott sales experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Availability to work flexible schedule including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of hospitality sales experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and DELPHI
  • Local market knowledge preferred
  • Previous Marriott sales experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of cultural social events such as weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and fraternal organization meetings
  • Strong leadership, salesmanship, and public relations skills
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in supervising, training, coaching, and counseling
  • Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional weekends

Job Duties

  • Manage strategic sales activities for all four hotels on the campus
  • Exceed guest expectations by providing extraordinary service for guest satisfaction and retention
  • Increase revenues by seeking new business travel accounts
  • Oversee the brand's Request for Proposal (RFP) process
  • Make solicitation calls to local businesses and prospective leads
  • Solicit and qualify potential new accounts
  • Maximize all hotel revenue channels
  • Analyze current and potential business segments to increase market share
  • Service and grow existing accounts effectively
  • Participate in industry and civic organizations for public relations and new business opportunities
  • Maintain competitive knowledge of other hotels' products and marketing strategies
  • Communicate with hotel departments to ensure efficient account arrangement
  • Collaborate with corporate sales and revenue leadership on sales objectives and rate strategies
  • Complete weekly and monthly sales reports
