Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of sales leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in luxury or full-service hotel sales
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in digital marketing and SEO tools
  • Ability to lead and motivate a sales team
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Availability to work extended hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of director of sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years of luxury hotel experience
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough experience with professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting and closing
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic vision
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organization and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively interact and manage diverse teams
  • Advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles
  • Capacity to work well under pressure
  • Understanding of financial information and basic arithmetic
  • Ability to work collaboratively with owners, colleagues and guests

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all sales segment growth strategies by account to maximize overall revenue
  • Develop, recommend, implement and manage the division's annual budget including advertising, public relations and direct sales plans
  • Guide the sales team to identify new business within and outside of known Hyatt accounts
  • Serve as the public face of the resorts in media interviews, industry events, and community engagements
  • Maintain a robust understanding of the group, wholesale and negotiated contracting process
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies
  • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate market trends
  • Oversee multiple digital channels including approximately 7 websites
  • Train all resort colleagues on recognizing and capitalizing on sales opportunities
  • Participate in industry leadership groups and local community organizations
  • Maintain professional relationships with marketing partners and internal departments
  • Attend and conduct meetings and provide training as required
  • Other duties as requested by the General Manager or Managing Director
