Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field preferred
- Minimum 7 years of sales leadership experience
- Demonstrated success in luxury or full-service hotel sales
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in digital marketing and SEO tools
- Ability to lead and motivate a sales team
- Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Availability to work extended hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 7 years of director of sales experience
- Minimum 3 years of luxury hotel experience
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough experience with professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting and closing
- Strong analytical skills and strategic vision
- Proficient in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organization and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively interact and manage diverse teams
- Advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles
- Capacity to work well under pressure
- Understanding of financial information and basic arithmetic
- Ability to work collaboratively with owners, colleagues and guests
Job Duties
- Coordinate all sales segment growth strategies by account to maximize overall revenue
- Develop, recommend, implement and manage the division's annual budget including advertising, public relations and direct sales plans
- Guide the sales team to identify new business within and outside of known Hyatt accounts
- Serve as the public face of the resorts in media interviews, industry events, and community engagements
- Maintain a robust understanding of the group, wholesale and negotiated contracting process
- Develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies
- Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate market trends
- Oversee multiple digital channels including approximately 7 websites
- Train all resort colleagues on recognizing and capitalizing on sales opportunities
- Participate in industry leadership groups and local community organizations
- Maintain professional relationships with marketing partners and internal departments
- Attend and conduct meetings and provide training as required
- Other duties as requested by the General Manager or Managing Director
