Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent sales experience
  • Minimum 3-4 years direct hospitality sales experience
  • Knowledge of general sales techniques, revenue management, and customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate fluently via email
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make sound business decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have excellent guest relations skills
  • Ability to influence customers to close deals
  • High ethical standards
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Own reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to tour properties, attend functions, and meet clients

Job Qualifications

  • Direct hotel sales experience is required
  • Direct hospitality sales experience with a minimum of 3-4 years
  • Experience with FOSSE and OnQ reservation systems preferred
  • College degree or equivalent sales experience required
  • Knowledge of general sales techniques, revenue management, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Fluency in electronic communications such as email
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player with all levels of hotel staff
  • Exceptional guest relations skills
  • Ability to influence customers and close sales
  • Excellent judgment and high ethical standards

Job Duties

  • Achieve productivity goal and activity goal by targeting accounts with appointment-oriented sales calls which are in-line with goals established by the marketing plan and management
  • Maximize current hotel key accounts by maintaining close contact through phone calls, appointments, client functions, tours, and professionally written correspondence
  • Capture and shift business from market hotels through research, networking, telemarketing, and soliciting new accounts
  • Maintain accurate and current file management system to best meet client needs
  • Participate in associate, client, and community events
  • Assist with developing and maintaining the business plan with General Manager and Corporate Sales Director
  • Qualify all leads and prospects gained from various sources including in-house guests
  • Actively participate in revenue management calls and assist with rate and service decisions
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and complete sales reports
  • Build and maintain rapport with competitors, lead sources, and the local community
  • Represent the hotel and SREE Hotels with high integrity and professionalism
