Job Requirements
- Education of one to two years post-high school
- Experience of two to three years in a related hospitality or catering role
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Capacity for standing for up to four hours
- Ability to climb stairs and perform mobility tasks
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to read banquet event orders and process payroll
- Minimal travel availability
- Professional appearance and attitude
Job Qualifications
- One to two years of post-high school education
- Two to three years in a related position within hospitality or catering
- Advanced knowledge of catering, food and beverage management principles
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
- Good oral communication skills
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience supervising teams of up to 50 employees
- Proficient in computer and office equipment use
Job Duties
- Analyze banquet event orders, communicate effectively with customers, managers and associates to ensure all room set-ups, AV equipment, supplies, staffing meet or exceed customer expectations
- Review all schedules, equipment, supplies and organize workflow to ensure quality events daily
- Monitor and control banquet budget including labor costs, beverage costs, supplies and equipment
- Implement company programs and resolve daily operational problems ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations and SOPs
- Supervise human resources in the AV banquet area including hiring, training, coaching, conducting performance reviews, and recommending discipline
- Participate in special projects, task forces and committees as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
