Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license for assigned vehicles
- acceptable driving record
- ability to lift 100 lbs
- ability to read maps and plan routes
- proficiency with iPad and GPS technology
- ability to communicate effectively
- customer service skills
- medical card if required by jurisdiction
- pass DOT physical exam
Job Qualifications

- valid driver’s license for assigned vehicles with an acceptable DMV record
- ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- able to read maps and plan and prioritize daily route coverage
- proficient in using iPad with GPS, texting and truck inspection reporting
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- medical card subject to city or state requirements
- must pass DOT physical examination
Job Duties
- Responsible for the security and safe operation of the vehicle and other assigned equipment
- promptly report to immediate supervisor all accidents involving truck, personal injury, or property damage and complete necessary paperwork
- perform daily walk around inspection of vehicle, checking air, water, oil and other items to maintain equipment in good operating condition
- report any equipment problems immediately to supervisor
- ensure truck cab and box are clean and personal items are removed daily
- plan daily routing based on pickups assigned and make all scheduled calls, including donation boxes
- develop assigned route, including bagging or carding on both sides and across the street of each pickup as instructed
- treat all customers courteously and accept or refuse donations appropriately following the Manual for Production Assistants
- maintain professional appearance in compliance with company dress code
- maintain complete and accurate records including delivery manifests, trip logs and communication procedures
- load and unload trucks safely using proper equipment to avoid damage
- provide assistance to Thrift Store personnel for proper placement of items
- instruct and supervise Truck Helper promoting professional conduct and work habits
- support the work therapy program by providing examples of professional conduct and supervision
- perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or Administrator
