Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1-2 years of relevant experience
Must obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification
RBS Certification required
Availability to work weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Strong customer service skills

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement
Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred
Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges
Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
RBS Certification required
Availability to work on weekends and holidays
Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs
Knowledge of customer service and hospitality industry standards

Job Duties

Serves and promotes food and beverage sales
Accurately takes and enters food and beverage orders for guests
Cordially and professionally presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
Follows cash and credit card handling policies at all times
Handles checks and processes payment, including cash transactions, credit card payments and room charges
Stocks and cleans server stations in back of house as assigned
Executes preparation for garnishes and sauces
Cleans and polishes wares for dining room
Ensures a clean and properly set dining room
Completes opening, closing and any assigned side work and duties
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team
