Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Certification in First Aid, CPR and Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
- Ability to swim 50 yards and retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of the pool
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in humid, warm environment and be immersed in water
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 to 100 lbs
- Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs
Job Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Certification in First Aid, CPR and Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training
- Good oral communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated leadership experience with team-oriented approach
- 2+ years experience in aquatics operations including lifeguarding, training, swim instruction, and CPO/AFO certification
Job Duties
- Assist in the training, supervision, and coordination of lifeguards with park management
- Manage lifeguards in assigned area enforcing rules and safety regulations
- Follow and enforce established park and employee policies and procedures
- Perform supervisory tasks including conflict resolution, coaching, and development of team members
- Promote teamwork and manage performance of lifeguard staff
