Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR and Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
  • Ability to swim 50 yards and retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of the pool
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in humid, warm environment and be immersed in water
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 to 100 lbs
  • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR and Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with team-oriented approach
  • 2+ years experience in aquatics operations including lifeguarding, training, swim instruction, and CPO/AFO certification

Job Duties

  • Assist in the training, supervision, and coordination of lifeguards with park management
  • Manage lifeguards in assigned area enforcing rules and safety regulations
  • Follow and enforce established park and employee policies and procedures
  • Perform supervisory tasks including conflict resolution, coaching, and development of team members
  • Promote teamwork and manage performance of lifeguard staff
