Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum two years of lifeguard or aquatics experience
- valid driver’s license
- valid American Red Cross lifeguard, first aid, CPR, and water safety instructor certifications
- ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certification within six months
- ability to obtain Water Safety Instructor Trainer and Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certification within six months
- physical ability to perform lifeguarding duties including swimming and emergency response
- ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- capability to operate computers and office equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of experience in lifeguarding or aquatic instruction
- valid driver's license
- American Red Cross certifications in lifeguard, first aid, CPR, and water safety instructor
- capability to obtain Certified Pool Operator, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, and Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certifications within six months of hire
- knowledge of pool safety procedures and water chemistry
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- effective communication skills
- strong organizational and prioritization skills
- ability to manage emergency situations
- experience in staff supervision and training
Job Duties
- Assigns, trains, schedules, evaluates, and supervises lifeguards
- maintains aquatic facility cleanliness including pool, deck, pump rooms, and restrooms
- monitors and adjusts water quality through chemical testing
- coordinates and conducts aquatic programs including swimming, lifeguard, CPR, and first aid classes
- enforces pool rules and safety policies
- responds to emergency situations with rescue and first aid actions
- maintains inventory and conducts safety inspections
- prepares reports on incidents and accidents
- performs basic administrative duties
- provides customer assistance and complaint resolution
