Job Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 17 years of age
  • Previous experience or training in cash handling or bookkeeping
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of all ages
  • Current Texas Driver’s license
  • Availability to work between noon and 7:00 pm including weekends
  • Ability to work part-time
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 17 years of age
  • Experience or training in basic bookkeeping skills or running a cash register or cash drawer
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Positive and caring attitude
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of all ages
  • Ability to provide information and communicate with the Aquatic Supervisor and Parks and Recreation Department

Job Duties

  • Responsible for assisting in maintaining and enforcing pool safety
  • Responsible for accepting fees and accounting for fees received
  • Responsible for answering the phone
  • Responsible for explaining basic pool rules
  • Responsible for providing information regarding facility use and hours of operation
  • Responsible for conflict and customer relations
  • Responsible for assisting in general maintenance and clean-up of activities/facilities/restrooms
  • Responsible for the property of the City of Harker Heights Aquatics Center
  • Responsible for submitting reports to Pool Supervisor on accidents, damage to facilities and equipment, and complaints from facility users
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Exhibits the City of Harker Heights’ Core Values
