Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- some experience as a qualified lifeguard and instructor at a large public swimming pool or aquatic facility
- Red Cross lifeguarding certification
- must obtain Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certificate within 11 months of hire
- must obtain Certified Pool/Spa Operator Certificate within 11 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- Proof of enrollment or high school diploma from an accredited institution or GED certificate
- experience as a qualified lifeguard and instructor at a large public swimming pool or aquatic facility

- basic knowledge of pool maintenance

Job Duties
- Conduct swimming classes and lessons
- supervise public swimming activities
- assist in the operation and maintenance of the pool and equipment
- ensure adherence to safety protocols
- respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
- maintain accurate records of class attendance and progress
- collaborate with other department staff to enhance aquatic programs
