The Windsor Recreation Services Division is a dedicated department committed to providing high-quality recreational experiences for the community in Windsor. This division manages a variety of leisure and sports facilities, including one indoor pool and three outdoor pools during the summer months. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Availability for seasonal full-time work from May to September
  • Nights and weekends availability as needed
  • 3+ years' experience in recreation or related aquatic activity
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Current lifeguard certifications
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Water Safety Instructor certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test including marijuana screening

  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Current lifeguard certifications from an authorized agency
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Water Safety Instructor certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test

Job Duties

  • Deliver high-quality customer service and serve as a direct representative of the department
  • Oversee daily aquatic facility operations, including pool maintenance, chemical balancing, cleaning, and system upkeep
  • Conduct in-service training on departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring lifeguards and aquatic staff for all three pools
  • Coordinate spring openings and fall closings for all aquatic facilities
  • Supervise aquatic staff, including supervisors, lifeguards, and gate attendants
  • Ensure facilities, equipment, and grounds meet all safety and regulatory standards
  • Process payroll and maintain certification records for aquatics staff
  • Resolve customer complaints and facility emergencies, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Complete staff evaluations and ensure employee accountability
