Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a qualified lifeguard and instructor at a large public swimming pool or aquatic facility
- Ability to obtain Redcross Lifeguarding Certification within 11 months of hire date
- Certification as a Redcross Water Safety Instructor
- Certified Pool/Spa Operator Certificate
- Ability to work full-time in Huntsville, AL
- Compliance with all city and departmental policies
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive swimming instruction and water safety programs
- Supervise swimming activities and aquatic facility operations
- Oversee maintenance and safety of public aquatic facilities
- Manage and train lifeguards and aquatic staff
- Promote water safety awareness and community engagement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate aquatic events and classes
