Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum one year kitchen experience in food and beverage industry
- Ability to work on call with irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, twist, and reach frequently
- Ability to squat, climb, and navigate stairs occasionally
- Comfort working in high-noise, busy environments with multiple distractions
- Ability to comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow directions and perform duties under pressure
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum one year of kitchen experience in food and beverage industry, preferably in high-volume feeding environments such as convention centers or stadiums
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with others
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Work safely and efficiently with culinary tools and equipment
- Perform basic mathematical operations
- Maintain clean and organized work habits
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Assist with food preparation, food production, plate-up, and clean-up
- Support storing and stocking food and supply deliveries in designated areas following guidelines
- Ensure proper washing and handling of food items complying with health standards
- Handle and monitor cold and hot foods maintaining food safety compliance
- Assist organization of event food products and supplies following quality and portion standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Adhere to safety policies and use of culinary tools and equipment, including knives, choppers, ovens, fryers, grills, mixers, and microwaves
- Work irregular schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Perform additional duties as assigned
