Job Requirements

  • 21 years of age or above
  • Must obtain and maintain Massachusetts Gaming Commission registration or license
  • Must obtain and maintain alcohol awareness card
  • Ability to work varying schedules
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or maneuver at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests and staff
  • Ability to comply with legal provisions of local liquor codes
  • Ability to assess guest intoxication
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in reporting
  • Ability to follow safety standards and company policies
  • Capacity to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to adapt to noisy and fast-paced work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 3 years bar experience preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret policy documents
  • Conversational English required
  • Ability to write and present information
  • Basic math skills and reasoning
  • Knowledge of local liquor laws
  • Familiarity with bartending equipment and procedures

Job Duties

  • Ensures all core values and property standards are implemented and applied
  • Participates in departmental goals, policies, and procedures
  • Monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness
  • Assists with bar setup and breakdown
  • Prepares garnish for beverage service
  • Cleans and maintains bar equipment and tools
  • Delivers beverage service according to standards
  • Communicates guest comments and difficulties to superiors
  • Up-sells and replenishes beverages following alcohol service regulations
  • Converses with guests about beverages and takes orders
  • Promotes, sells, makes, and presents cocktails
  • Serves coffee and tea according to standard
  • Advises guests on alcoholic beverages
  • Complies with local liquor laws
  • Assesses guest intoxication levels and acts accordingly
  • Maintains stock rotation
  • Operates post-mix syrups and beer systems
  • Handles billing and payments professionally
  • Adheres to safety and company policies
  • Maintains industry knowledge
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
