Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prefer TIPS training certification as well as Serve Safe or equivalent
- Ability to deal with change, delays or unexpected events

Job Duties
- Prepare mixed drinks by selecting and mixing ingredients according to recipes
- Garnish drinks by slicing and pitting fruits, preparing olives and other garnishes
- Prepare and serve beer for patrons in a fast and courteous manner
- Be knowledgeable with the wines offered and serve patrons effectively
- Maintain attractive bar by arranging bottles and glasses for display, removing soiled glassware and empty bottles and cans, ensuring cleanliness
- Maintain supplies by requisitioning or restocking liquors, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients, replacing beer kegs
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities including Serve Safe alcohol awareness, keeping abreast of drink trends, exploring new recipes
- Enhance bar reputation by properly carding patrons and following safe alcohol serving procedures, safeguarding guests
- Maintain a high level of customer service
- Manage administrative office work including contracts, receipt of payment, filing, and reporting
- Collect money for drinks served
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Balance cash receipts
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer
- Clean bars, work areas, and tables
- Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar
- Perform all other duties as assigned
