Job Requirements
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Capacity to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
- Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- Flexibility to perform in multiple restaurant positions as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Knowledge of Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications is a plus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to handle stress and problem solve effectively
- Experience in staff training and development
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control
- Understanding of safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Excellent interpersonal skills and guest service orientation
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and policy implementation
- Participates in employee development through one-on-one coaching and performance documentation
- Assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback while supporting areas of development
- Monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
- Assures compliance with company policies and procedures
- Controls costs in assigned department
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Drives bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on all store related technology
- Works in all positions and assists in team member roles as needed
- Uses Management Development Program for leadership growth
