Job Requirements
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours
- capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to read and write for communication
- finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports to General Manager/Area Director as needed
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through effective orientation, training sessions, and implementation of company policy and training systems
- participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation, completing written evaluations
- assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback, and works on development areas
- monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
- assures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
- controls cost in assigned department
- complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
- drives food and liquor inventories at request and is accountable for completion
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store related technology
- willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member roles when needed
- uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
