Job Requirements

  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours
  • capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to read and write for communication
  • finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports to General Manager/Area Director as needed
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through effective orientation, training sessions, and implementation of company policy and training systems
  • participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation, completing written evaluations
  • assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback, and works on development areas
  • monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
  • assures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
  • controls cost in assigned department
  • complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • drives food and liquor inventories at request and is accountable for completion
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store related technology
  • willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member roles when needed
  • uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
