Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
- Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food Certification is a plus
- Serve Safe Alcohol Certification is a plus
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively under stress
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Ability to motivate and develop team members
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
Job Duties
- Ensures timely friendly service according to company guidelines achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
- Ensures guest contact priority with completion of required table visits
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Helps maintain trained staff through orientation training and policy implementation
- Participates in employee development using one-on-one and performance documentation
- Assesses employee efficiency providing fair feedback regularly
- Monitors employee performance documenting disciplinary actions as needed
- Assures compliance with company policies practices and procedures
- Controls cost in assigned department
- Ensures compliance with local state and federal laws regulations and guidelines
- Drives bi-weekly weekly food and liquor inventories
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed health department and company standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on all store related technology
- Willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member roles as needed
- Uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
