Job Requirements
- Work various shifts including weekends
- Stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- Safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Read and write for communication
- Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food certification is a plus
- Serve Safe Alcohol certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits according to Flynn Applebee's standards
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of team member and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Maintains a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings, and company policy implementation
- Participates in employee development using one-on-one meetings and performance documentation
- Assesses employee efficiency, provides regular feedback, and works on development areas
- Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations for disciplinary action
- Ensures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
- Controls costs in assigned department
- Complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Drives food and liquor inventories as requested and ensures completion
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on store-related technology
- Works in all positions and assists team members as needed
- Uses the Management Development Program for leadership growth
