Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license
- ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- prior grounds maintenance experience preferred
- good communication skills
- ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment safely
Job Qualifications

- prior experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred
- ability to operate landscaping equipment including mowers, blowers, edgers, and chain saws
- knowledge of safe handling and mixing of chemicals
- good physical condition and ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- effective communication skills
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
- ability to follow safety protocols strictly
Job Duties
- Garbage collection and loose trash patrol
- cleaning patios
- moving furniture when necessary
- empty pet waste stations
- maintaining small hand tools and shop
- pressure washing
- cleaning of dumpster areas
- checking sprinkler system and making repairs to heads
- operating a forklift, tractor, golf cart and other equipment
- planting flowers, shrubs and trees with miscellaneous trimming
- removing excess vegetation from patios and fence lines
- operating a pushing or riding mower and emptying the clippings onto the truck
- operating blowers, edgers and street vacuum and other landscaping equipment
- handling gasoline and other chemicals and properly mixing the chemicals
- spraying insecticides and maintaining the spray rig
- climbing and working from a ladder for certain jobs
- operating a chain saw
- digging to repair broken water and sewer lines
- making minor asphalt repairs to streets
- painting patios and balconies
- maintaining good communication and positive attitude with co-workers, residents and management
- following safe workplace rules and practices in order to prevent on-the-job injuries
- working regular shifts and additional hours, when necessary, as directed by the Grounds Supervisor and/or Maintenance Supervisor
- performing other related tasks as needed
