Job Requirements
- ability to safely lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- sufficient manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- adequate vision and hearing to perform job tasks
- ability to work in hot and cold environments
- compliance with pa state criminal record check (act 34)
- compliance with fbi criminal history record investigation (act 114)
- compliance with pa dhs child abuse history clearance (act 151)
- compliance with pa arrest/conviction report certification form (act 24)
- part-time availability for 3 or 4 hour shifts
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food service or cafeteria work beneficial
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to follow standardized recipes and meal plans
- basic math skills for portion control
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work cooperatively with a team
Job Duties
- assisting in the overall operation of cafeteria and food service production
- ensuring safe and sanitary food handling
- preparing food items according to standardized recipes and meal plans
- serving meals to students and staff efficiently and courteously
- maintaining efficient operations through food handling, portion control, and waste management
- assisting with inventory, stocking, and cleaning duties
- collaborating with the food service team to ensure smooth meal service
- adhering to district standards and procedures related to food service operations
- providing positive customer service
