Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred
- knowledge of safety protocols related to custodial work
- ability to operate hand and power equipment safely
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work the specified schedule from 2pm to 10:30pm Monday through Friday
- physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in custodial work
- ability to follow oral instructions
- ability to read and comprehend instructions
- physical ability to handle 150 lbs
- ability to deal effectively with those in contact while working
Job Duties
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs and waxes floors
- dusts, polishes metal and wood
- collects and disposes of rubbish
- cleans toilets, washroom fixtures
- moves and sets up furniture
- prepares hall or auditorium for meetings
- stores and delivers supplies
- operates hand or power equipment such as mowers and floor scrubbers
- rakes leaves
- shovels snow
- cleans trash on grounds
- locks and unlocks premises
- performs minor preventative repairs
- may assist in cafeteria during lunch hour
- performs any and all duties as assigned by the school principal
