Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
- exposure to cleaning supplies and pet hair is acceptable
- must be able to endure physical activity throughout shift
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- A borderline-obsessive love for animals
- prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus but not required
- a cool, calm, and professional demeanor even under stress
- willingness to get hands dirty
- open to high schoolers, college students, and those with second jobs
- ability to work in a physically demanding on-your-feet role
Job Duties
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized
- serving up meals and fresh water
- monitoring the health, happiness, and cleanliness of every pet guest
- reporting any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager
- supervising playtime and engaging in interactive activities
- assisting with brushing and bath time
- handling laundry and belongings to ensure clean and cozy items for pets
- making tails wag and ensuring pets are happy and comfortable
