Job Requirements
- must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
- ability to work on feet for entire shift
- exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and occasional animal waste
- ability to follow safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus
- ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor
- passion for animals
- willingness to learn and get hands dirty
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized
- serving up meals and fresh water
- monitoring the health, happiness, and waste of every pet guest
- reporting anything unusual to the general or assistant manager
- supervising playtime and games like fetch
- assisting with brushing and bath time
- handling laundry and belongings so every pet has clean, snuggly items
