Job Requirements
- must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- availability on evenings weekends and holidays
- ability to stand walk and climb stairs frequently
- be on feet for the duration of the shift
- comfort with exposure to cleaning supplies pet hair and animal accidents
- a positive and patient attitude
Job Qualifications
- a high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus
- ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure
- strong willingness to learn and adapt
- love and passion for animals
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
Job Duties
- keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless safe and sanitized
- serving meals and fresh water to pets
- monitoring the health happiness and behavior of pets
- reporting unusual behaviors or health concerns to management
- supervising playtime and interaction among pets
- assisting with pet grooming including brushing and bathing
- handling laundry and pet belongings to ensure cleanliness
