Job Requirements
- High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
- Required professional licensure or certification can be used in lieu of education or experience if applicable
- BLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree as anesthesia technologist preferred
- One year of experience in a medical setting preferred
- BLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Anesthesia workroom experience preferred
- Graduate of an anesthesia technician program preferred
Job Duties
- Performs a variety of duties in surgical services to maintain a well-supplied sterile environment
- Performs terminal cleaning of each operating room daily including thorough decontamination of furniture equipment and air vents
- Transports case carts equipment and supplies and disposes of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures
- Monitors and maintains supply inventories at an appropriate par level
- Provides physical assistance for patient positioning lifting and moving as directed by clinical nursing staff
